Job summary

Metaphor Infotech Mumbai in Bengaluru is seeking a Network Security Assistant to support configuration of security appliances and monitoring. You will help investigate incidents and perform basic troubleshooting while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

You will work under guidance from senior engineers, ensuring adherence to security standards and contributing to automation and process improvements. Staying updated on new security technologies is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, proxies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
• Support network monitoring and analysis to detect anomalies and potential threats.
• Help investigate and resolve security incidents under guidance from senior engineers.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity and security issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in audits and ensure adherence to organizational security standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Stay updated on emerging security technologies and best practices.
