Job summary

Chara Automation in Chennai, India, invites applications for an IT Support Engineer role focusing on server/network setup, maintenance, and security compliance. You will assist in installation, configure devices, monitor networks, and support end-user IT requests within a collaborative team.

You will document processes, assist with ISO/IATF audits, and work with senior engineers to ensure cybersecurity practices are followed. Prior experience in IT support is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, routers, switches, firewalls & Product Application PC .
• Support LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN setup, and network monitoring.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Maintain user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Active Directory.
• Monitor system performance, backups, and patch updates.
• Document IT processes, incidents, and compliance records for ISO/IATF audits.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.
• Support end-user IT requests and elevate complex issues when required.
