Job summary

Raptakos Brett And Company is seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator to manage Cisco security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and Meraki deployments. The role includes configuring Meraki MX appliances, MS switches, and MR APs, plus maintaining security policies and network health.

The candidate should implement site-to-site and client VPNs, update firewall rules, and ensure secure remote connectivity while coordinating with IT, cloud, and application teams.

Qualifications

• CCNP Security, CCNA and Cisco Meraki/Security certifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Meraki MX, MS switches and MR access points.

Responsibilities

• Manage Cisco security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, NAT and IPS/IDS.
• Configure and troubleshoot Meraki MX appliances, VLANs, DHCP, static routes and client connectivity.
• Implement site-to-site VPN, remote access VPN and Auto VPN with secure branch connectivity.
• Create and maintain firewall rules, content filtering, L3/L7 policies and NAT rules.
• Monitor security events and network health via Meraki Dashboard and other tools.

Role & responsibilities

1) Network Security Administration

• Manage and support Cisco security infrastructure including firewalls, VPN, ACLs, NAT, IPS/IDS, and network segmentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki MX security appliances, MS switches, and MR wireless access points.
• Implement and manage site-to-site VPN, client VPN, Auto VPN, and secure branch connectivity.
• Create and maintain firewall rules, content filtering, L3/L7 policies, NAT rules, traffic shaping, and security policies.
• Monitor security events and network health through Meraki Dashboard and other monitoring tools.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, backup, and change management for network security devices.

2) Cisco Meraki Operations

• Deploy and maintain Meraki MX series firewalls/security appliances.
• Configure SD-WAN, dual ISP failover, load balancing, and WAN uplink monitoring.
• Manage VLANs, DHCP, static routes, VPN hubs/spokes, group policies, and client connectivity in Meraki.
• Troubleshoot Meraki dashboard alerts, WAN failures, packet loss, VPN tunnel issues, and application access problems.
• Implement security best practices for Meraki infrastructure.

3) Security Implementation & Compliance

• Implement network security controls as per company standards.
• Perform security hardening of firewalls, switches, wireless, and remote access solutions.
• Support access control, MFA integration, identity-based policies, and secure remote connectivity where applicable.
• Coordinate with IT, system, cloud, and application teams for security requirements.
• Maintain security documentation, network diagrams, SOPs, and audit records.

4) Troubleshooting & Support

• Troubleshoot network/security issues related to:
  • Internet connectivity
  • VPN tunnels
  • Meraki MX failover
  • Firewall access rules
  • Routing / switching / VLAN issues
  • Wireless connectivity issues
  • User access to internal applications / SAP / servers / cloud services
• Provide L2/L3 support for branch offices, datacenter connectivity, and remote users.
• Work with ISP/vendor support for link issues, RMA, and escalations.

5) Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain:
  • Network diagrams
  • Firewall policy documentation
  • VPN topology details
  • Asset / license inventory
  • Incident / problem / change records
