Job summary

YO IT Consulting in Chennai seeks an experienced Network Engineer with 5–9 years of hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, security, and infrastructure support. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network environments to ensure high availability and security.

The candidate will manage routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, VTP), configure NGFWs, monitor performance, and support VPNs, SD‑WAN, and data center technologies.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of enterprise networking experience with design, implementation and optimization responsibilities.
• Experience in routing, switching, and data center technologies including VXLAN/EVPN.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security best practices.
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and network automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.

• Configure and support Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco NGFW/Palo Alto).

• Maintain network documentation, security compliance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
• Manage routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, and VTP
• Configure and support Next‑Generation Firewalls (Cisco NGFW/Palo Alto)
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex network/security issues
• Support VPNs, SD‑WAN, wireless networking, and data center technologies
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for project implementation and operational support
• Maintain network documentation, security compliance, and disaster recovery readiness

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Routing & Switching
• Hands‑on expertise with NGFW, network security, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Data Center technologies including Leaf‑Spine, VXLAN/EVPN
• Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, Splunk, or Thousand Eyes
• Exposure to AWS/Azure networking and network automation (Python/Ansible) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSE
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
