Neev is seeking a Network Operations & Vendor Management Executive/Engineer in Chennai to oversee network inventory, coordinate ISP activities, and ensure uninterrupted IT services across locations.

The role requires managing WAN/MPLS/SD-WAN connectivity, monitoring performance, and coordinating with vendors for upgrades and escalations. Strong documentation and SLA oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in Network Operations or Infrastructure.
• Experience managing multiple ISPs and enterprise WAN networks.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Network Operations & Vendor Management Executive / Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for managing network inventory, coordinating with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), monitoring network links and connectivity, and working with vendors to ensure uninterrupted IT infrastructure services across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Inventory Management
• Maintain and update inventory records for network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN links, and related accessories.
• Track hardware lifecycle, warranty status, AMC details, and asset movements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of network topology, IP addressing, and circuit information.
• Perform periodic inventory audits and reconciliation.
• ISP Coordination
• Act as the primary point of contact for all ISP-related activities.
• Coordinate new internet/MPLS/SD-WAN link installations, upgrades, and decommissions.
• Manage ISP escalations for service outages and performance issues.
• Monitor SLA compliance and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Maintain ISP contact lists, account details, and service agreements.
• Link Monitoring & Incident Management
• Monitor WAN, Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN, and leased line connectivity using network monitoring tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot network issues, link outages, and performance degradation.
• Coordinate with ISPs and internal teams for incident resolution.
• Generate and analyze uptime, availability, and utilization reports.
• Ensure proactive monitoring and escalation to minimize business impact.
• Vendor Coordination
• Coordinate with hardware, network, and telecom vendors for support and maintenance activities.
• Track open service requests and ensure timely closure.
• Manage warranty claims, RMA processes, and equipment replacements.
• Review vendor performance against SLAs and contractual commitments.
• Assist in procurement activities by obtaining quotations and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain network documentation, SOPs, escalation matrices, and operational records.
• Prepare monthly reports covering link availability, ISP performance, inventory status, and vendor service metrics.
• Support audits, compliance requirements, and management reviews.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, MPLS, Internet, VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, Nagios, or similar.
• Knowledge of network devices including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, or equivalent.
• Vendor and stakeholder management skills.
• Good documentation, reporting, and communication abilities.
• Understanding of SLA management and incident escalation processes.

Experience

• 8 to 10 years of experience in Network Operations, ISP Management, or Infrastructure Support.
• Experience handling multiple ISP providers and enterprise WAN networks is preferred.
