Job summary

Coppergate is seeking an experienced Network Administrator in Mumbai to manage day-to-day WAN/LAN/VPN, DNS, DHCP, and security policies. You will design, implement, and optimize network solutions, monitor performance, and coordinate with stakeholders.

The role involves incident management and upgrading firmware across devices. The ideal candidate has CCNA and Microsoft certifications, hands-on with FortiGate and Cisco gear, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills for a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol suite with practical experience.
• Experience configuring VLANs, tagging (IEEE 802.1q), and switching/routing devices.
• Proficient in FortiGate firewall management and VPNs (Site-to-Site, SSL/VPN).
• Hands-on with Cisco and HPE routers/switches and NAT/VPN techniques.
• Familiar with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Take care of day-to-day network, WAN/LAN/VPN, DHCP and DNS related calls.
• Design and implement new network solutions and improve current networks.
• Maximise network performance via monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Update network equipment firmware and report status to stakeholders.

Job Description

• Take care of day to day Network, WAN /LAN/ VPN (SSL, IPSEC, PPTP, TCP/IP, and DNS), DHCP, and UDP related calls.
  Good practical knowledge of (LAN & WAN) component (Switches, router & firewall) with real time support.
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders

Maintains, monitors and troubleshoots within the roles of Incident Management (Return-to-Service) and/or Problem Management (Reason for Outage).
MPLS network and Wireless (Plan deployment and operation).
Solid understanding of Network Administration, including users, permissions, Client/Server networks, login authentication, SNMP, Network Admin. Software, etc.
Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment;
Defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
Excellent analysis, trouble shooting, and communications skills
Ability to provide detailed case notes according to internal procedures and standards of quality,
Video conferencing arranging for senior management.

• Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP,
  SNMP, FTP, TFTP, Experience in VLANS, Tagging - IEEE 802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1d, 802.1w.
  Cisco switches Spanning Tree, Virtual- Chassis, Aggregated Interfaces, Access list, VRRP, Port security
• Manage and troubleshoot on FortiGate firewall (ipv4 policies, Security profile and VPN setup)
• Cisco routers and firewalls and switches NAT, VPN (Site to site and RA).
• HPE routers and firewalls and switches NAT, VPN (Site to site and RA).
  Experience in VLANS, Tagging - IEEE 802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1d,802.1w., IPSEC VPN/SSL-VPN/NAT/GRE/
  FortiGate FW/GW Configure Firewall polices
  Routing protocols Static, Policy based routing, OSPF, BGP.
  Network Monitoring/Diagnostic tools: - Net flow / SFLOW, Wireshark, MRTG, SNMP NTP etc.
  Desirable: - Any web filtering tool experience.
• Hands on experience on Routers, firewall, L3 and Access Switches
• CCNA certified.
• Microsoft certified ( MCSC / MCSA ).
• Good understanding of Active Directory, Win Server, IIS, SQL, and Web services in a high availability environment d.
