Indovision Services Private Limited is seeking a NOC L1 Engineer to monitor telecom network infrastructure 24x7, identify alarms, and perform initial troubleshooting.   • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, MPLS, VPNs, and WAN technologies.
  • Understanding telecom transmission technologies such as Fiber, Ethernet, and Microwave.
  • Familiarity with NOC monitoring tools, EMS/NMS platforms, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts (24x7 operations).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • The NOC L1 Engineer is responsible for 24x7 monitoring of telecom network infrastructure, identifying alarms, performing initial troubleshooting, and ensuring timely escalation of network incidents.
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting for transmission media including OTN/ SDH/ DWDM, MPLS, ISP, WAN, IP, and access network issues.
  • Create, track, and update incident tickets through ITSM tools.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams as per escalation matrix.
  • Coordinate with field engineers, customers, and vendors during fault resolution.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA and operational procedures.
  • Maintain incident logs, shift reports, and handover documentation.
  • Support planned maintenance activities and change implementations.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
