Job summary

APTIV INDIA seeks an experienced tooling designer to design and develop press tools, progressive and stamping dies, and create detailed 3D models with manufacturing drawings.

With 5+ years in tool design, you will coordinate with production, tool room, and quality teams, support tool trials, and drive cost-effective tooling solutions across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or post-diploma in Tool & Die Making or Tool Design.
• 5+ years of experience in tooling design.
• Experience with progressive dies, compound dies, and sheet metal stamping tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop press tools, progressive dies, and stamping dies.
• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Coordinate with production, tool room, and quality teams during tool development.
• Support tool trials, troubleshooting, and design modifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop press tools, progressive dies, and stamping dies.

Qualification

Diploma / Post Diploma in Tool & Die Making, Tool Design.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience .
• Hands-on experience in designing Progressive Dies, Compound Dies, and Sheet Metal Stamping Tools.
• Proficiency in NX, CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes, GD&T, and tooling manufacturing practices.
• Experience in Plastic Injection Mold Design
