Job summary

Krishna Group is seeking an experienced senior design leader for advanced plastic injection mold and tool design in Gurgaon, India. The role focuses on leading complex mold projects, optimizing tool design for manufacturing, and coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and customers to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in automotive plastic components, strong leadership, and proficiency with Siemens NX or SolidWorks, Moldflow, FEA, GD&T, DFM/DFA.

Qualifications

• Advanced plastic injection mold and tool design expertise.
• Knowledge of Moldflow, FEA, GD&T, DFM, and DFA.
• Strong team leadership, problem solving, and project management capabilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex plastic injection moulds and dies.
• Conduct DFM/DFA reviews and optimize tool design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Review and approve 2D drawings, 3D models, and tool BOMs.
• Ensure proper design of cooling, hot runner, slider, lifter, and ejection systems.

• Drive cost reduction, design standardization, and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Advanced plastic injection mold and tool design.
• Expert knowledge of Siemens NX, or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Moldflow, FEA, GD&T, DFM, and DFA.
• Strong team leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills

.Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Engineering, or equivalent.
• 15-20 years of experience in tool design, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Experience in automotive plastic components and complex mould design.

5. Industry Preference

Automotive components, plastic injection moulding, automotive interior/exterior trim, and tool manufacturing.
