Job summary

AKG Building Consultants seeks an experienced MEP site engineer to supervise daily on-site execution for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting works. The role requires coordinating with vendors, reviewing GA/shop drawings, and ensuring quality and HSE compliance at the Bengaluru project sites.

You will track materials and progress, liaise with the design team for clarifications, and report updates to the Project Engineer/Regional Manager. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on MEP site execution experience.
• Ability to read GA/shop drawings and execute on site.
• Knowledge of at least one core MEP discipline (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or fire-fighting).
• Basic HSE and quality-check discipline (permit-to-work, NCR).
• Experience supervising vendor/labour teams on site.
• Willingness to be based at or travel to project site(s).

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day MEP execution at site (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting & Medical as applicable).
• Coordinate with vendors/labour on schedules and quality expectations.
• Conduct quality checks against drawings; raise NCRs for non-conformance.
• Track material consumption and progress against schedule.
• Liaise with design/coordination team on site queries and clarifications.
• Ensure HSE compliance for MEP work on site; manage permits and PPE.
• Report daily/weekly progress (DPR/WPR) for MEP scope to Project Engineer/Regional Manager.

• Supervise day-to-day MEP execution at site HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting & Medical as applicable
• Coordinate with vendors/labour contractors on execution schedules and quality expectations
• Conduct quality checks against approved drawings and specifications; raise NCRs for non-conformance
• Track material consumption and progress against the execution schedule
• Liaise with the design/coordination team (HQ) on site queries and drawing clarifications
• Ensure HSE compliance for MEP work at site (permits, PPE, isolation procedures)
• Report daily/weekly progress (DPR/WPR) for MEP scope to the Project Engineer/Regional Manager

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on MEP site execution experience not purely office/design-based
• Ability to read and execute against GA/shop drawings on site
• Working knowledge of at least one core MEP discipline (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or fire-fighting)
• Basic HSE and quality-check discipline (permit-to-work, NCR process)
• Experience directly supervising vendor/labour teams on site
• Willingness to be based at or travel to assigned project site(s)
• B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical) or Diploma in relevant discipline
