Job summary

AKG Building Consultants invites an experienced MEP Design Coordinator to join our team on hospital and large institutional projects. You will coordinate MEP shop drawing preparation, review cycles, and BOQ support across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing packages.

You will identify clashes, track approval status through multiple rounds with consultants, and liaise with vendors for technical clarifications and specification compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP design coordination and estimations (5 years).
• Hospital or large institutional project exposure preferred.
• Strong reading of GA/ shop drawings; AutoCAD exposure helpful.
• Experience managing multi-round drawing approvals with consultants.
• Excellent written and verbal coordination with consultants, vendors and site teams.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 years of experience in MEP design coordination & estimations, preferably on hospital/healthcare or large institutional projects
• Strong understanding of MEP discipline (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or fire/life safety) with working knowledge of the others
• Comfortable reading and marking up GA/shop drawings (AutoCAD exposure preferred)
• Experience managing multi-round drawing approval cycles with consultants
• Clear written and verbal coordination skills will interface with consultants, vendors, and site teams
• Prior hospital/healthcare project experience is a strong plus
• B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical) or Diploma with strong MEP design coordination background
