Job summary

JPR Balaji Infra in New Delhi is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead electrical, mechanical and plumbing coordination on large-scale projects. The role involves design, tendering, site supervision and QA/QC across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (or a Diploma with extensive hands-on experience) and has at least 10 years of on-site MEP experience. Salary ranges from 5 to 7 LPA, with location in New Delhi.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; or Diploma with 15+ years hands-on experience.
• Technical Skills include AutoCAD Electrical, MEP, ETAP, DIALux, MATLAB, load calculation, SLDs, short-circuit and power analysis.

• Experience: minimum 10 years on-site in planning, execution and coordination of MEP services.

JOB DESCRIPTION: MEP (MECHANICAL, ELELCTRICAL AND PLUMBING) ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

Electrical

• Electrical Design & Engineering: Create layouts for power distribution (high and low voltage), lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance system, renewable energy integration, and MEP related coordination for large size projects.
• Prepare BOQs, carryout market rate analysis and help in preparation of tenders for competitive bidding.
• Maintain data bank of contractors/subcontractors, qualify to execute the works on behalf of the company.
• Site Visits, Supervision & Installation: Routinely visits all the sites, ensure installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems as per the WO. Oversee the work of technicians, electricians, and subcontractors, ensuring quality and schedule adherence. Standard codes, Compliance & Safety: Ensure installation meets local, national, and international codes; perform risk assessments, inspections, and safety audit and compliances and approvals. .
• Project Coordination: Work with project managers and other engineers to plan construction methods, allocate resources, and solve on-site technical problems.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct functional tests, insulation resistance checks, earthing continuity verification, and QA/QC documentation
• Billing. Ensure timely billing of the works at the site related to MEP, Fire, HVAC, CCTV, surveillance etc.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop preventive maintenance schedules, for the projects wherever, it is needed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain asbuilt drawings, submit daily site reports, and prepare project handover documentation.
• Liaison & Coordination. With the client and with the department and assist in business development.
• Budgeting & Procurement Support: Estimate quantities of materials, equipment, manpower, and manage procurement timelines to avoid delays.

Mechanical

• Oversee installation of industrial equipment, check specs, ensure coordination with civil and electrical teams.
• Assist in procurement of major equipment etc.

Plumbing

• Coordinate all the plumbing work of the sites.
• Undertake in major items procurements,
• selection of sub-contractors, preparation of WO.
• Monitoring of subcontractors work

IT, Communication, CCTV and Surveillance

• Assist in preparation of BOQ, rate analysis, for Tendering for above works as a part of integrated projects.
• Coordinate site related works,
• Vendor and supplier selection and managing procurement
• Ensure compliance and approval
• Commissioning of the works

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), preferably from a reputed NIIT/Govt College. Or Diploma with minimum 15 years of Hand on experience
• Technical Skills: AutoCAD Electrical, MEP, ETAP, DIALux, MATLAB, load calculation, cable sizing, single-line diagrams (SLDs), short- circuit and power system analysis
• Soft Skills: Effective communication, problem,solving, attention to detail, time management, leadership, and teamwork abilities
• Experience. Minimum 10 years of experience at site incl at HO, in planning, execution and coordination of MEP and allied services works.
• Salary: - CTC- 5-7 LPA (Depending on skills & experience)
