Job summary

Rcpc is seeking an experienced MEP design engineer for engineering consulting projects, focusing on design quality and code compliance.

You will prepare concept to detail drawings in AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP, perform design calculations, liaise with architects and clients, and assist on-site supervision. Tamil language is compulsory; strong knowledge of MS Office and project software is required.

Qualifications

• The candidate should have experience in an engineering consulting environment with a focus on design.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit for MEP design.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of MS Project & Access is a plus.
• Familiarity with local codes and international standards in building design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare concept, basic and detail design drawings in AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and international standards.
• Perform design calculations and create schematic diagrams.
• Select appropriate equipment sizes and carry out related analysis.
• Coordinate with project architects, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
• Assist the team leader in producing design specifications and reports.
• Site inspection or supervision experience on building construction projects.
• Tamil is compulsory for the role.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of design software and MS Office suite.

Job description

Responsibilities:-

• Previous experience working within an Engineering consulting environment, with a clear focus on design experience.
• Perform duties assigned by MEP Director/Manager/Team Leader, and ensure all duties are undertaken within the required timeframe.
• Prepare concept, basic and detail design drawings in Auto CAD MEP or in Revit MEP, ensuring that the design are undertaken in accordance with local codes and international standards.
• Undertake all necessary design calculations and analysis along with schematic diagrams and select appropriate equipment size.
• Liaise with the project architects, other engineering disciplines, sub-consultants and clients as required.
• Assist the team leader in producing the design specifications, design reports and to finalize all design calculations as required.
• Site inspection or supervision experience on building construction projects.
• (Tamil compulsory).
• Advanced knowledge of design software in relation to the MEP design including AutoCAD and Revit and MS office software , MS Project & Access.
• Intermediate knowledge of International Building Codes and Design Standards including environmental building.
