Job summary

Hiliving Projects LLP in Chennai seeks an MEP Engineer with 2-4 years experience to coordinate MEP works on residential real estate projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion per drawings.

Responsibilities include supervising MEP works, reviewing drawings, coordinating with civil/architectural teams, monitoring contractors, and preparing progress reports. The candidate should have Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical and strong site coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in MEP execution, preferably in residential real estate/construction projects.
• Candidates with strong site execution and coordination experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate MEP works including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and related services.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, Structural and other project teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors for quality, progress, and workmanship.
• Ensure MEP installations are carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, defects, and deviations.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors and project management teams.
• Track material requirements and ensure materials are available at site as per project schedules.
• Prepare and maintain daily/weekly progress reports and site documentation.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes and project requirements.
• Support the Project Manager in resolving technical and execution-related issues.

About the Role
