Job summary

Innowell Engineering International is seeking a Project Engineer- MEP with 1–2 years of experience to support planning, design, coordination and execution of projects. The role involves working closely with design teams and clients to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

The candidate should have a Mechanical Engineering degree, basic MEP design knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel.

Qualifications

• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech –Mechanical). Additional certifications in MEP design, HVAC design or FPS/PHE design, or project management will be an added advantage.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in mechanical or MEP design, project coordination, or site execution. Exposure to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, or general MEP projects is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical and MEP design, including layouts, BOQs, and technical specifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel. Understanding of site execution practices and ability to coordinate with contractors and site teams.
• Behavioral and Coordination Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong willingness to learn both design and site aspects of project execution. Ability to travel to project sites and support project activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of MEP design deliverables, including layouts, calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress, verify implementation against approved drawings, and report any deviations or issues.
• Coordinate between the design team, site team, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution and timely resolution of technical queries.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of project documents such as progress reports, material submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Ensure that both design and site activities comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and company quality procedures.
• Identify design or site-related issues and work with senior engineers to develop practical and timely solutions.
• Monitor project schedules, track deliverable status, and follow up to ensure milestones are achieved as planned.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients and contractors and provide necessary support during project execution.
• Assist in tracking planned versus actual hours and contribute to improving project productivity and efficiency.
• Develop technical knowledge in design and site execution to progressively take on greater project responsibilities independently.
