Job Overview:

We are looking for an Associate MEP Design to join our team. In this role, the candidate will act as the clients technical representative, ensuring that the design and execution of MEP systems align with corporate standards, municipal requirements, and project milestones. You will bridge the gap between our site teams, layouts, and external design consultants, focusing on maintaining the accuracy of project drawings, raising clarifications early, and assisting in the preparation of precise tender packages.

- Education: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Industry Focus: Residential and High-Rise Projects / Aluminium Formwork Systems

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. 1. Consultant Coordination
   - Act as the primary coordinator between internal stakeholders, consultants, architectural teams, the site team, and MEP vendors.
   - Facilitate regular coordination meetings to resolve interface conflicts and ensure all design inputs are aligned.
   - Provide timely layout drawings and actual site conditions to the design consultant.
   - Manage day-to-day interfaces between MEP design and other project vendors.
2. 2. Drawing Review & Quality Control
   - Conduct rigorous reviews of service layouts submitted by architects, consultants, and contractors.
   - Validate submissions against municipal norms, project intent, and structural integration to prevent site-level clashes.
   - Review all consultant drawings thoroughly to ensure completeness and accuracy.
   - Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly whenever gaps or data mismatches are identified.
   - Supervise MEP consultant design and contractor work quality to ensure compliance with design documents and building codes.
3. 3. Tendering & Estimation
   - Oversee the commercial aspects of MEP design and works by preparing and evaluating BOQs and BOMs, including those submitted by the consultant.
   - Lead technical discussions during the tendering phase to ensure accurate cost analysis and effective value engineering.
   - Ensure the final tender package is prepared correctly.
   - Verify the accuracy of BOQ descriptions and technical specifications.
4. 4. Technical Engineering Support
   - Assess MEP conceptual planning, load calculations, and equipment sizing for all MEP services.
   - Review all MEP calculations and services, including HVAC, Electrical, Firefighting, Plumbing, and ELV systems.
   - Provide expert technical guidance during the design development and construction phases.
   - Assist in validating complex MEP systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and statutory requirements.
5. 5. Site Coordination
   - Support overall MEP planning, site execution, drawing management, and contractor bill certifications.
   - Actively monitor design progress against project milestones.
   - Coordinate with site teams to resolve real-time interface issues and ensure architectural, consultant, and contractor deliverables are approved as per the agreed project schedules.

Knowledge & Technical Skills Required:

• - Software Expertise: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit/BIM-MEP, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• - Domain Systems: Practical experience handling Electrical, HVAC, Firefighting, Gas, Plumbing, ELV and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) systems.
• - Project Type: Proven track record working on residential high-rise buildings, specifically with aluminium formwork construction methods.
