Key Responsibilities
Core MEP Execution & Supervision
- Oversee site installation and execution of all MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing networks, drainage, and firefighting/alarm systems.
- Cross-check site work against approved Shop Drawings, MEP single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic layouts, and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular quality inspections (QA/QC) to ensure work meets company standards and regional building codes.
Interface with Structural & Finishing Works
- Structural Integration: Coordinate sleeve, cutout, core-drilling, and embedment placements prior to concrete pours to prevent structural re-work.
- Finishing Coordination: Collaborate closely with finishing teams and architects to ensure proper alignment, height, and location of electrical cutouts, plumbing fixtures, ceiling access panels, and HVAC diffusers.
- Participate in Clash Detection reviews to eliminate conflicts between MEP services, structural elements, and architectural finishes before execution.
Contractor & Site Management
- Supervise MEP contractors and sub-contractors, maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and safety guidelines.
- Verify contractor measurements, billings, and work completion certificates for MEP installations.
- Inspect incoming MEP materials and equipment on-site to ensure compliance with approved material submittals.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Conduct and document pressure tests, hydro-tests, megger tests, and system leak tests before closing walls or ceilings.
- Assist in final testing, commissioning, and snagging/de-snagging of MEP installations prior to handover.
Required Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven field experience in MEP execution within the Real Estate / Building Construction sector.
- Interface Knowledge: Hands-on experience coordinating MEP services with structural pour schedules and architectural finishing scopes.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting MEP shop drawings, structural drawings, and architectural layouts.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD (BIM/Revit knowledge is a strong plus).
- Familiarity with local building codes, NBC/NFPA, plumbing standards, and safety guidelines.
