Gera Developments in Pune is seeking an Electrical Design Coordinator to manage the design lifecycle from concept to execution. You will bridge the gap between design consultants, developers, and site project management teams to ensure accurate, coordinated, and compliant electrical designs.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, conducting clash detections, and expediting approvals to prevent site delays, with a strong focus on local codes and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–6 years of overall experience in electrical design and coordination.
• Consultancy/PMC background: 2–3 years in consultancy with PMC or real estate developer.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings: follow up and evaluate concept designs, schematic drawings, and GFC drawings.
• Run clash detection: identify and resolve space and routing conflicts between electrical services and other MEP/Structural elements.

Role Overview
The Electrical Design Coordinatormanages the design lifecycle from concept to execution. You will bridge the gap between design consultants, developers, and site project management teams (PMC). Your core responsibility is to ensure electrical designs are accurate, coordinated, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant codes.

Design Coordination & Review

• Review electrical drawings: Follow-up and Evaluate concept designs, schematic drawings, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings.
• Run clash detection: Identify and resolve space and routing conflicts between electrical services and other MEP/Structural elements.
• Standardize compliance: Ensure all designs align with local building codes, statutory norms, and developer specifications.
• Manage drawing releases: Track and expedite the approval flow to ensure zero delays for site execution teams.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Align project teams: Act as the primary technical point of contact between the Developer, External Design Consultants, Site PMC, and Contractors.
• Lead technical meetings: Run regular design review meetings to clear bottlenecks and track engineering deliverables.
• Resolve site queries: Provide quick technical solutions and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from the site team in.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 5 to 6 years of overall experience in electrical design and coordination.

• Consultancy/PMC Background: At least 2 to 3 years specifically working within a Consultancy and balance with Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or real estate developer.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Software proficiency: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office. Familiarity with Revit (BIM) is highly preferred.
• System expertise: In-depth understanding of HT/LT power distribution, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, internal/external lighting, earthing, and low-voltage (ELV) systems.
• Coding standards: Strong familiarity with local electrical regulations, National Electrical Code (NEC), and NBC guidelines.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication, assertive stakeholders management, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
