Job summary

Vbeyond Corporation in Gurugram, Haryana, seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical/MEP design for complex buildings, including high-rise, commercial, residential, infrastructure and data centres.

You will design and coordinate electrical systems, perform load, voltage-drop, short-circuit and lux calculations, use DIALux and Amtech, prepare layouts and documentation, and mentor a team while coordinating with clients and international teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Electrical/MEP design consulting.
• Experience designing for high-rise, commercial, residential, infrastructure and data centres.
• Strong hands-on experience with DIALux and Amtech.
• Knowledge of NEC, CPWD and international electrical codes/practices.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit-MEP and Navisworks is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Independently design electrical systems for complex building/MEP projects.
• Design and review electrical distribution, panels, lighting, indoor/outdoor lighting, cable management and ELV systems.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in Electrical/MEP design for complex building projects.

The person will be responsible for independently designing and coordinating electrical systems for projects such as high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, residential developments, infrastructure and data centres.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical design, lighting, electrical distribution, ELV systems and design calculations, along with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design electrical systems for complex building/MEP projects.
• Design and review:
  • Electrical distribution systems
  • Distribution panels
  • Lighting systems
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting
  • Cable management systems
  • ELV systems
• Perform:
  • Electrical load calculations
  • Voltage-drop calculations
  • Short-circuit calculations
  • Lux-level calculations
• Use DIALux and Amtech for electrical design and calculations.
• Prepare and review electrical layouts, drawings and design documentation.
• Support RFP/tender estimation and technical proposals.
• Coordinate electrical designs with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire and other MEP disciplines.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and international project teams.
• Plan and monitor technical deliverables, project schedules and design requirements.
• Review designs for compliance with applicable NEC, CPWD and international codes/standards.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and support the development of the electrical design team.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions and project coordination meetings.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Electrical/MEP Design Consulting.
• Strong experience in electrical design for:
  • High-rise buildings
  • Commercial buildings
  • Residential projects
  • Infrastructure
  • Data centres highly preferred
• Strong hands-on experience with DIALux and Amtech.
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, ELV and electrical calculations.
• Knowledge of NEC, CPWD and international electrical codes/practices.
• Experience working with international clients/contractors is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit-MEP and Navisworks is an advantage.
• ETABS knowledge is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience in managing/mentoring a team.

Preferred Background

Candidates from AEC/MEP consulting, engineering design and BIM consulting companies will be preferred.
