Job summary

Sciencebydesign Labsystems is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design for commercial interior and industrial projects from concept to tender/IFC. You will coordinate with clients, consultants and vendors, ensuring designs comply with codes, preparing BOQs and specifications, and supervising junior engineers on drawings and calculations.

The role requires 8+ years in consultancy, proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel and Word, and fluent English communication to engage with

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a consultancy firm.
• Experience designing electrical services for commercial interior and/or industrial projects.
• Proficient in electrical layouts, SLD, BOQ and specifications.
• Knowledge of site execution.
• Software skills: AutoCAD, Excel, Word.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects with Electrical and other services from Concept to Tender/IFC.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and vendors as required.
• Prepare Electrical design as per project requirements and adhering to various codes, DBR, BOQ, specs, make list, etc.
• Supervise and check all types of electrical drawings, calculations, SLD, etc. prepared by junior electrical engineer.
• Get quotes for services and coordinate with vendors; update progress to Lead Engineer MEP.
• Explore and implement new design innovations/products from sustainability and green building perspective.

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and reviewing electrical system designs, drawings, calculations, BOQs, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes while coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors. Manages project execution from design to completion including site monitoring, material approvals, vendor coordination, quality checks, and final project documentation.

Job Description:

Design stage:

• Site visit to the proposed premises, due diligence and site analysis
• Lead projects with Electrical and other services from Concept to Tender/IFC.
• Co-ordination with clients, consultants and vendors as required
• Preparation of Electrical design as per project requirements and adhering to various codes (national and international), DBR, BOQ, specs, make list, etc.
• Supervise and check all types of electrical drawings, calculations, SLD, etc. prepared by junior electrical engineer
• Getting quotes for the all the services and coordinating with vendors
• Updating progress on the project deliverables to Lead Engineer MEP
• Shall be self-motivated to explore & implement new design innovations/products available in market from sustainability and green building point of view.

Construction Stage:

• Approval and reviews of TDS/material submittals and shop drawings
• Site monitoring and keeping record of pending work
• Follow up with vendors for site work (as per project requirement)
