Job summary

Chemplast Sanmar is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to handle daily maintenance of static and rotating equipment at the Krishnagiri plant. The role requires hands-on experience with both rotating and static equipment, plus strong planning for spares and manpower.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5 years of relevant experience, with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely execution of tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in rotating & static equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily maintenance of static and rotary equipment in the plant.
• Maintenance planning: spares, manpower scheduling, and efficient utilization.
• Execute mechanical maintenance tasks and supervise to ensure quality and timeliness.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

To carry out the responsibilities of daily maintenance of static and rotary equipment activities in the plant.

1. Experience in both Rotating & Static Equipments troubleshooting, maintenance activity etc.


2. Maintenance Planning- Spares and manpower scheduling, Implementing and executing skills with focus on optimum utilization of manpower and materials.


3. Execute Mechanical Maintenance tasks with quality & Supervise mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure quality and timely completion and as per planning

• To carry out the rotating equipment's/ static equipment's maintenance as per the plant requirement. To maintain the utility equipment's as per the operating standards.


• Maintain the shift and consumable spares as per the schedule and implementing the energy conservation & improvement activities.


• Ensure all the departmental activities are in compliance with all safety and quality standards. Work execution with all necessary personal protective equipment's to nullify the incidents and accidents


• Tracking history for each equipment and analyzing the root cause for a failures


• Continuous assessment of existing systems/practices towards improvement in various fields like energy conservation, maintenance cost in terms of labour and spares


• Preparing JSA for all the shutdown jobs in accordance with Chemplast Safety policies & procedures


• Maintaining ISO documentations like Equipment History reports, Failure reports, Vendor analysis, Testing and certifications, PM reports etc. ISO-14001 & OHSAS-18001 system compliance


• Condition monitoring of equipment's using Vibration analyzing kit.
