Job summary

Saaki Argus And Averil Consulting seeks a skilled maintenance engineer to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance, attend breakdowns, and execute preventive maintenance on production machinery. You will monitor MTTR/MTBF, manage spares, and coordinate with stores, vendors, and production for timely repairs.

The role requires supervising mechanics and contract technicians while ensuring safety standards and SOP adherence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
• Ability to perform breakdown and preventive maintenance activities.
• Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Commitment to safety standards and SOP adherence.
• Familiarity with TPM, cost reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement.
• Experience supervising blue-collar technicians and contract staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle hands-on mechanical maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment.
• Attend breakdown maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize machine downtime.
• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities as per schedule and maintain maintenance checklists.
• Monitor machine availability, MTTR, MTBF and downtime and take corrective actions.
• Ensure availability of critical maintenance spares and monitor spare inventory.
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and external vendors/subcontractors for timely availability of spares and specialized repairs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeated breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Support TPM, continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with Production for operator-driven maintenance and machine improvement activities.
• Supervise and allocate work to blue-collar associates, mechanics, fitters and contract technicians.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, maintenance SOPs and company procedures.
