Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience in an aluminium smelter, cast house, foundry, steel plant, or similar heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Must have experience in mechanical maintenance and shift-based operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and coordinate shift-wise maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot rotating equipment, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and cranes.
• Monitor equipment performance and minimize breakdowns and downtime.
• Coordinate equipment repair, fabrication, inspection, and replacement activities.
• Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules, work permits, and safety procedures.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Maintain breakdown reports, shift logs, and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments for smooth plant functioning.
