Job summary

Cosmo First Limited in Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra seeks a Maintenance Engineer to manage plant machinery, minimize breakdowns and ensure smooth production operations.

The candidate should have a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 1+ year of relevant experience. Freshers are not preferred; familiarity with preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, RCA, and 5S/ TPM practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspection of machines to identify potential failures.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per defined plans.
• Maintain records of breakdowns, maintenance activities, spare parts and machine history.
• Coordinate with Production and other departments for maintenance requirements.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Ensure proper availability and management of critical spares.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of machinery/equipment.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and maintenance SOPs.
• Assist in improving machine reliability, reducing downtime and improving OEE.
• Coordinate with external vendors/contractors for maintenance and equipment-related activities.

About the Role

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, motors and other industrial equipment.
• Understanding of Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics will be preferred.
• Knowledge of 5S, TPM, RCA and preventive maintenance practices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel / maintenance documentation.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/plant environment.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance/manufacturing plant.
• Freshers are not preferred for this position.
