Job summary

The role focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance, fault diagnosis, inspection, lubrication and repair of components, and maintaining production continuity. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Inspect, service, lubricate, align, replace and repair machine components.
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, control panels and electrical circuits.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports and checklists.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for timely restoration.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout and standard practices.
• Support continuous improvement to increase reliability, safety and productivity.

Position Overview

MNC is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the reliable and safe operation of plant equipment in an aerospace and aluminium sand-casting manufacturing environment. The role will focus on preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment troubleshooting and maintaining production continuity across a three-shift operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Carry out inspection, servicing, lubrication, alignment, replacement and repair of machine components as required.
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, control panels, electrical circuits and other industrial electrical systems within the technicians competency.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, checklists and preventive-maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance team members for timely restoration of equipment.
• Follow plant safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements and standard maintenance practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, safety and productivity.

Candidate Profile

• ITI / Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, preventive maintenance and fault finding.
• Ability to work effectively in a three-shift manufacturing environment.
• Good discipline, safety awareness, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates from nearby industrial areas such as Chakan / Sawardari may be preferred.
