Job summary

VandewieleSavio India Private Limited, a global textile machinery leader, seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to lead conceptualization, design, and development of advanced mechanical components and systems.

You will drive the product development cycle from concept through prototyping and testing, and you will mentor junior engineers while collaborating with production to ensure manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical or textiles engineering.
• Long-term experience in mechanical design within textile machinery.
• Strong CAD modeling, analysis, and prototyping skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the complete product development cycle from concept to prototyping and testing.
• Independently design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Prototype, assemble, and validate mechanical systems for performance and reliability.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design calculations, and detailed reviews.
• Collaborate with production to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet standards.
• Involve in technology transfer from the Parental Company and establish processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing challenges proactively.
• Lead continuous improvement to optimize machine design and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and engage with customers for trials.

Educational Qualification :

Master / Bachelor of Mechanical or Textiles Engineering

Experience :

10 to 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical design

Roles &Responsibilities:

• Drive the complete product development cycle from concept generation to prototyping and testing.
• Independently design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD tools such as Autodesk inventor, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Apply hands-on experience to prototype, assemble, and validate mechanical systems for performance and reliability.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design calculations, and detailed design reviews.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet industrial standards.
• Involve in the transfer of technologies from the Parental Company and establish necessary processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and manufacturing challenges with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Work with suppliers to enhance component performance and ensure cost optimization.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine design and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence within the team.
• Engage with customers for machine trials and performance assessments.
• Strong knowledge in Standards and best practices.
