Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in textile machinery design, preferably ring spinning machines.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and machine components.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of project management practices.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Design & Project Engineer is responsible for the design, development, modification, and project execution of ring spinning machines and related textile machinery. The role involves machine design, project coordination, technical documentation, customer support, and continuous improvement activities to ensure performance, quality, and cost targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for ring spinning machines.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
• Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
• Optimize machine performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Develop BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical specifications.

Project Management

• Manage machine design projects from concept to commissioning.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and service teams.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Track project progress and prepare status reports.

Technical Support

• Support machine installation, trials, and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and field operation.
• Provide technical solutions for customer requirements and machine upgrades.

Documentation

• Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, manuals, and technical documents.
• Maintain revision control and engineering records.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
• Implement design modifications based on field feedback.
• Participate in value engineering and quality improvement initiatives.
