Job summary

Regami Solutions in Chennai is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop mechanical components for electronic products using SolidWorks, guiding from concept to production.

You will analyze color-material-finish, define part specifications, manage BOM, support prototyping, and verify functionality. The role emphasizes assembly procedures, production startup, and cost-optimized redesign. Strong English and a hands-on, team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Very good SolidWorks skills.
• 2-5 years of experience in similar roles.
• FEM (structural) calculation skills.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience designing parts for Injection Molding.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Detail oriented with hands-on mindset.

About Role:

Should have good knowledge of solid works and responsible for designing and developing mechanical components for electronic products. The role involves guiding products from concept to production, ensuring they meet performance, aesthetic, and manufacturing standards.

Role & responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of electronic products.
• Design and drawing of mechanical metal and plastic parts.
• Analyzing the color-material-finish required for metal or plastic parts.
• Definition of specifications for parts.
• Bill of material management and support to the prototyping activities.
• Functional verification of the designed systems.
• Support the production start-up with assembly procedures.
• Product redesign for production optimization / cost reduction.
• Engineering for production.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Completed university studies in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification.
• Very good skills with SolidWorks.
• 2 - 5 years of work experience in similar positions.
• Structural calculation (FEM) skills.
• Very good written and oral English language skills.
• Experience in the design of parts for Injection Molding.
• Good Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
