Job description

• Design and drafting of parts and assemblies using the latest SolidWorks software.
• Solve design-related issues in coordination with other departments.
• Coordinate with vendor and production teams on drawing-related issues.
• Ensure timely issuance of drawings and designs to the concerned department.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Experience in SPM (Special Purpose Machines).
• Proficient in identifying and selecting standard machine components like gearboxes, motors, bearings, LM guide rails, ball screws, and servos.
• Expertise in fabrication and welding methods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Concept Development

• Brainstorm and develop initial design concepts based on project requirements or client needs.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed schematics and prototypes.

2. Design and Analysis

• Create detailed drawings and specifications for components or systems.
• Perform simulations and analyses to test the feasibility, strength, and performance of designs.
• Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.

3. Prototyping and Testing

• Develop prototypes or models to test design concepts.
• Conduct experiments and tests to validate design performance and functionality.
• Analyze test results and make necessary design modifications.

4. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Effectively communicate design ideas and changes to team members and clients.

5. Documentation

• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and user manuals.
