Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Designer & DFM Engineer in Bengaluru, India. This role involves designing mechanical assemblies with a focus on manufacturability, cost, reliability, and scalability. You will lead a team and ensure designs align with production processes and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and over 3 years of experience in product or industrial engineering, with proven ability to take products to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in product/industrial/process engineering.
• Experience taking at least one product to manufacturing.
• 2+ years in project or component management role.
• Exposure to global teams and production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead global ME Assembly & Fixture Design teams (~20 HC).
• Design assemblies optimized for manufacturing, cost, and quality.
• Drive improvements in OEE and First Pass Yield.
• Reduce design-to-process related scrap and fixture costs.
• Perform tolerance stack-up and GD&T analysis.
• Develop and standardize mechanical features and components.
• Create assembly specifications and support industrialization.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers.
• Ensure alignment between DFMEA and PFMEA.
• Support continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
