Job summary

Navalt is seeking a Material Manager to oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of materials at the yard in Kerala. You will coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure material availability and accurate inventory, while maintaining yard operations.

Required is a Diploma or Bachelor's degree with 4–5 years in material or inventory management, strong MS Excel skills, and excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 4–5 years of experience in material management, store management, or inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and MS Excel.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently at the yard site.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
• Organize and store materials in designated yard locations.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, inventory, and material movement.
• Issue materials as per project requirements and update stock registers.
• Coordinate with the procurement team for material requirements and replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock audits and report inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain proper documentation of all material transactions.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of storage areas.
• Follow safety procedures during material handling and storage.
