Job summary

First Step Babywear in Bengaluru is seeking an E-Commerce Marketplace professional to manage the day-to-day operations of marketplaces such as Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Nykaa and other marketplace partners.

The role will be responsible for marketplace listings, cataloguing, inventory availability, pricing, product visibility, ratings & reviews, promotions, order-related issues and overall marketplace hygiene.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Nykaa or similar marketplaces.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Good understanding of cataloguing, inventory, pricing and marketplace operations.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external teams.
• Experience in fashion/apparel/kidswear E-Commerce is preferred.

Department: E-Commerce Role: Marketplace Executive / Senior Executive Experience: 2-5 years Reporting To: E-Commerce Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an E-Commerce Marketplace professional to manage the day-to-day operations of marketplaces such as Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Nykaa and other marketplace partners.

The role will be responsible for marketplace listings, cataloguing, inventory availability, pricing, product visibility, ratings & reviews, promotions, order-related issues and overall marketplace hygiene.

Paid advertising/marketplace ads are not part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Listing & Cataloguing

• Create and maintain product listings across all marketplaces.
• Ensure accurate titles, descriptions, attributes, sizes, size charts, images and product information.
• Ensure new products are listed and live as per launch timelines.
• Identify and fix incorrect, incomplete, duplicate or outdated listings.
• Ensure listings comply with marketplace guidelines.

2. Listing Health & Visibility

• Regularly check whether all planned products are live and available for purchase.
• Identify and resolve suppressed, inactive, rejected or blocked listings.
• Check product visibility/searchability and raise issues with the marketplace team where required.
• Continuously improve product content, images, titles and attributes to improve listing quality.

3. Inventory Management

• Monitor marketplace inventory and product availability.
• Identify stock-outs, low-stock products and inventory mismatches.
• Coordinate with warehouse, SCM and IT teams to resolve inventory issues.
• Ensure inventory is correctly synced and products remain available for sale.

4. Pricing & Promotions

• Ensure marketplace prices, MRP and discounts are correctly updated.
• Coordinate with the E-Commerce/Commercial team for marketplace promotions and sale events.
• Check that approved offers and discounts are correctly reflected.
• Highlight any pricing discrepancies or unauthorised changes.

5. Ratings & Reviews

• Monitor product ratings and customer reviews.
• Identify products with low ratings or recurring negative feedback.
• Share relevant customer feedback with Product, Quality, Operations and Customer Service teams.
• Ensure product content is updated where customer feedback indicates a content/size/fit issue.

7. Marketplace Coordination

• Act as the day-to-day contact for marketplace-related operational and cataloguing requirements.
• Coordinate with marketplace account/category managers.
• Follow up on product approvals, listing issues, catalog corrections and escalations.
• Maintain trackers for pending issues and ensure timely closure.

8. New Product Launches

• Coordinate end-to-end marketplace onboarding for new products.
• Ensure content, images, pricing and inventory are ready before launch.
• Track marketplace-wise launch status and highlight any delays.

Key Skills & Experience

• 25 years of experience in E-Commerce / Marketplace Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Nykaa or similar marketplaces.
• Good understanding of marketplace seller/vendor portals.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.
• Good understanding of cataloguing, inventory, pricing and marketplace operations.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external teams.
• Experience in fashion/apparel/kidswear E-Commerce is preferred.
