1. Marketing Responsibilities
The person can be responsible for the end-to-end day-to-day marketing activities, including:
- Market research and identifying potential industries, companies and markets
- Identifying and researching potential clients/prospects
- Building, maintaining and updating prospect lists and marketing databases
- Prospecting through online research, LinkedIn and other relevant sources
- Outbound calling and cold calling to prospective clients
- Email marketing and targeted email outreach
- Following up on marketing leads, prospects and enquiries
- Maintaining proper records of prospects, leads, outreach and follow-ups
- Supporting lead generation and business development activities
- Planning and coordinating marketing campaigns and lead-generation initiatives
- Tracking basic marketing activity, outreach and lead-generation resultsCompetitor and industry research
- Identifying new marketing channels and business opportunities
- Coordinating with internal teams for marketing and business development activities
- Coordinating with external marketing agencies/vendors, if any
2. LinkedIn, social media & Content Responsibilities
- Social media management, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram
- Creating and publishing company-related posts and updates
- LinkedIn prospecting and outreach activities
- Content creation and content coordination
- Preparing marketing materials, brochures, presentations, company profiles, etc.
- Managing the company's online presence
- Website content updates and coordination
- Blog and other website content coordination
- Email marketing and promotional communications
- Supporting company branding and employer branding activities
- Exploring new digital marketing channels and opportunities
3. Technical / Practical Skills
Instead of the long list, I would keep it to these:
Required:
- Experience in outbound calling / cold calling
- Experience in email marketing
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Good knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint
- Good internet research skills
- Ability to research companies, industries and potential clients
- Ability to create and maintain prospect and lead databases
- Good written and verbal communication
- Ability to create professional emails and marketing content
- Experience in lead generation.
Good to have, but not mandatory:
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing
- Basic knowledge of website/content management
- Experience working with marketing agencies/vendors
- Basic knowledge of Canva or similar design tools
- Basic knowledge of recruitment platforms such as Naukri/LinkedIn
- Basic knowledge of LinkedIn and social media platforms
4. Qualification (Degree is must)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
- BBA / BBM / B. Com / BA / BCA or similar qualifications can be considered.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
Basic knowledge of HR and recruitment will be an added advantage. Candidates with HR-related subjects or exposure as part of their academic qualification can also be considered.
