Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical/Production; 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years core experience in process/method of heavy machining and assembly.
• Strong understanding of CNC turning, milling, boring, tooling, and inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Define and finalize the manufacturing process in the form of MOPs & SOPs for every component of rotary part before production start.
• Work out optimum handbook hours in detail for every project.
• Envisage tooling, jig & fixture requirements and drive procurement for timely availability; support Shop Planner for scheduling and outsourcing.
• Identify & resolve technical issues before and during production processes.
• Coordinate with engineering for NCR disposition and implement corrective actions.
• Record lessons learned and continuously update manufacturing processes.
• Utilize quality/lean tools such as VSM, PFMEA, 8D and 5S.
• Empower shop engineers for process change suggestions and implementation.
• Drive new product qualification and prepare related documentation.
• Continuously improve manufacturing process using analytical thinking.
• Be a resource for colleagues and mentor less experienced team members.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Assess feasibility and hours estimation for upcoming projects.

Drive the culture of continuous improvements and take lean initiatives. Drive and coordinate the execution of Machine Shop operations, machining processes related to machining wing to wing with (SQDC). Zero deviation in Safety and Quality.
