Aren Rendering Solutions is seeking a skilled Production Engineer in India to lead daily sheet metal fabrication activities and industrial equipment manufacturing projects. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, shop-floor coordination and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, be proficient with engineering drawings and BOMs, and work across Design, Stores, Purchase and Quality teams to ensure timely, cost-effective production.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily production activities to meet targets and delivery schedules.
• Supervise shop-floor operations including cutting, bending, welding, grinding, fabrication and assembly.
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Coordinate with Design, Stores, Purchase and Quality to ensure material availability and smooth flow.
• Monitor manpower utilisation, machine availability and production progress.
• Ensure products meet drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve issues and minimise wastage and rework.
• Maintain production reports and material consumption records.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and shop-floor discipline.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and result-oriented Production Engineer with 3 - 5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and industrial equipment manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for production planning and execution, shop-floor coordination, manpower utilisation, quality adherence and timely completion of production activities.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of fabrication processes, engineering drawings, production schedules and coordination with Design, Stores, Purchase and Quality departments.

Role & Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor daily production activities as per production targets and delivery schedules.


• Supervise shop-floor operations, including sheet metal cutting, bending, welding, grinding, fabrication and assembly.


• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).


• Coordinate with Design, Stores, Purchase and Quality departments to ensure material availability and smooth production flow.


• Monitor manpower utilisation, machine availability and production progress.


• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.


• Identify production bottlenecks, resolve operational issues and minimise material wastage and rework.


• Monitor work-in-progress and ensure timely completion of assigned production jobs.


• Maintain daily production reports, material consumption records and other relevant production documentation.


• Ensure adherence to workplace safety, housekeeping and shop-floor discipline.


• Coordinate with the Quality team for inspections and corrective actions.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 35 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, industrial equipment manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment.


• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.


• Practical knowledge of fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, grinding and assembly.


• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand BOMs.


• Experience in production planning, shop-floor supervision and manpower coordination.


• Knowledge of quality requirements, material utilisation and production documentation.


• Good coordination, problem-solving and communication skills.


• Working knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.


• Candidates with experience in machinery or project-based manufacturing will be preferred.
