Job summary

SV Management Consultants in India seeks an experienced End-to-End QA Leader for automotive press shop quality across incoming inspection, in-process stamping, welding, and final dispatch.

You will validate dies and tooling, lead root cause analysis with 8D, CAPA, and 5-Why, and drive APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA. You will champion IATF 16949/ISO 9001 audits and mentor a quality team.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in automotive press shop quality operations.
• Hands-on expertise with tandem/progressive dies, deep drawing, blanking, and spot/MIG weld quality.
• Strong command of GD&T, checking fixtures (CF), CMM report interpretation, and metrology.
• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Core Quality Tools: Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC (Cp/Cpk studies), and MSA implementation.
• Audits & Compliance: Champion IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 compliance and lead quality audits.
• Customer Interface: Act as the primary technical contact for OEM / Tier-1 quality queries, driving issue resolution.
• People Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.

• Tool & Process Validation: Validate sheet metal dies, press tooling, fixtures, and gauges during trials and ECN/PCN rollouts.


• Root Cause Analysis & Problem-Solving: Apply 8D, 7 QC Tools, 5-Why, and robust CAPA to tackle stamping issues (spring-back, thinning, burrs, wrinkling, cracking).


• Core Quality Tools: Drive APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC (Cp/Cpk studies), and MSA implementation for precision press components.


• Audits & Compliance: Champion IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 compliance and lead customer, supplier, and internal quality audits.


• Customer Interface: Act as the primary technical contact for OEM / Tier-1 quality queries, driving rapid issue resolution and target PPM levels.


• People Leadership: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
