Job summary

Remi Process Plant And Machinery in Palghar, India, is seeking a senior QA/QC leader to drive quality across fabrication, machining, welding and assembly. You will mentor a team of 12 inspectors and engineers and coordinate ISO compliance.

The role requires deep knowledge of ASME, API and ISO standards, extensive experience in NDT, and a track record of process improvements and customer audits.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of QA/QC experience in heavy fabrication or process equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, inspection, NDT, and quality management systems.
• Experience with ISO Quality Management Systems and Management Representative duties.
• Exposure to third-party inspections and customer audits.
• Experience with ASME, API, and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA & QC activities across fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 12 Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Act as Management Representative for ISO systems and drive compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure quality compliance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, customer specifications, and applicable standards.
• Oversee in-process, final inspections, and NDT activities (UT, RT, MPT, LPT/DPT).
• Review material test certificates, inspection reports, quality records, and manufacturing documentation.
• Handle customer audits, quality reviews, and interactions with third-party inspection agencies.
• Drive root cause analysis, CAPA, AI-based quality initiatives, and production staff training on in-process inspections.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, inspection, NDT, and quality management systems.


• Experience in agitators, compressors, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, or similar fabricated products.


• Experience as Management Representative for ISO Quality Management Systems.


• Exposure to third-party inspections, customer audits, and standards such as ASME, API, and ISO.


• Strong leadership, analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills; exposure to AI-based quality initiatives will be an added advantage.
