Vertex Corporate Services’ client seeks a Manager/Sr Manager for Mid Corporates Business Development in Chennai, Gurgaon, or Bangalore. You will manage existing and new mid-corporate relationships, originate debt-market mandates, and execute region-focused marketing strategies.

The role requires MBA/CA with 4–11 years in corporate banking or related origination, excellent senior-level networking, and strong marketing, sales, and negotiation abilities. Travel is involved.

Qualifications

• MBA/CA with 4–11 yrs in Corporate Banking/Relationship Management of Mid Corporates in a Bank/NBFC or in Origination of Debt Capital Market Mandates.
• Excellent relationships with senior decision makers among these corporates.
• Understanding of debt capital markets and corporate credit analysis.
• Strong marketing, sales, negotiation skills are a prerequisite.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at senior management level.
• Self-starter with strong focus on revenue generation.

Responsibilities

Position: Manager/ Sr Manager-Mid Corporates Business Development (Chennai/ Gurgaon/ Bangalore)

Role:

• The role is for management of existing and new relationships with Mid Corporates
• Origination of new credit rating mandates from these debt issuers
• Responsible for developing and executing target driven marketing strategy for the Company in the region
• Raising the profile of the Company's brand through consistent marketing to bankers, investors etc. in the region
• In charge of fee negotiations for both existing and new mandates
• Working closely with the analytical teams.
• From the outset the individual will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with excellent opportunities for self and career development. The role involves travel.

Experience:

• MBA/CA with 4-11 yrs of experience in Corporate Banking/ Relationship Management of Mid Corporates in a Bank/NBFC or in Origination of Debt Capital Market Mandates. Experience in selling financial services to Mid-sized corporates
• Should have excellent relationships with senior decision makers among these Corporates
• Understanding of debt capital markets as well as a general understanding of corporate credit analysis
• Strong marketing, Sales, negotiation skills are a pre-requisite
• Excellent communication skills and should be able to communicate at senior management level. Must have good interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with strong focus on revenue generation
