Job summary

Kalinga Commercial Corporation Limited in India seeks an experienced professional to lead the plant's mechanical function, covering maintenance, reliability, erection, installation, commissioning and project execution.

You will ensure maximum equipment availability, drive preventive and predictive maintenance, supervise crushers, screens, conveyors, gearboxes and related systems, and coordinate with Operations and Projects teams.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 8–15 years of experience in mining/mineral processing, crushing & screening setups with hands-on maintenance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical maintenance and plant engineering activities.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of critical equipment.
• Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Maintain crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, stackers, reclaimers, hoppers and gearboxes.
• Lead breakdown analysis, RCA and corrective actions.
• Plan major shutdowns, overhauls and maintenance activities.
• Supervise erection, installation, testing and commissioning of plant equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, Civil and Projects teams.
• Manage OEMs, contractors and maintenance vendors.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and inventory optimization.
• Monitor costs, manpower, performance and downtime.
• Ensure safety procedures, LOTO and work permits compliance.
• Lead, mentor and develop the mechanical maintenance team.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce breakdowns and costs.
• Knowledge of fabrication & erection of structures.

We are looking for an experienced candidate to lead the overall mechanical function of the plant, covering maintenance, equipment reliability, erection, installation, commissioning and project execution. The position will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, operational efficiency, safety and cost-effective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall mechanical maintenance and plant engineering activities.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of critical plant equipment.
• Plan and supervise preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.
• Manage maintenance of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, stackers, reclaimers, hoppers, chutes, gearboxes, drives and associated mechanical systems.
• Lead breakdown analysis, RCA and corrective/preventive actions.
• Plan and execute major shutdowns, overhauling and maintenance activities.
• Supervise mechanical erection, installation, testing and commissioning of plant equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, Civil and Projects teams.

Qualification & Experience:

• 8-15 yrs of experience mining/mineral processing, crushing & screening plants and bulk material handling systems with hands‑on exposure to heavy plant mechanical maintenance and equipment reliability.
