Job summary

You will supervise contractors, conduct site surveys, guide workers on IS standards and drawings, and ensure safety and timely scheduling; you will also drive safe work practices and environmental health across the site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction and maintenance activity of assigned area (eg, housekeeping, drain cleaning, etc)
• Conduct surveying and measurements on the site, as required
• Monitor daily civil activities of contractual and supply manpower
• Resolve day to day complaints related to carpentry, plumbing and masonry work inside the plant, based on complaints received on help desk and during telephonic conversations
• Supervise execution of work done by contractor at site and ensure compliance to quality and safety standards
• Supervise daily civil activities at site including proper construction of structure with all the requirements and housekeeping work after completion of work
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and workers at site regarding civil work on the basis of Indian Standard and Drawings
• Supervise timely preparation of schedule and adherence to the same
• Give instructions to the contractual staff to execute the work as per the plan
• Ensure nil lost time accidents through robust implementation of safety guidelines like usage of PPEs, etc
• Drive a culture promoting focus on environment, health and safety across the organization
• Ensure maintenance of good housekeeping practices and safe work practices for environment-friendly operations and machinery
