Job description

Purpose/Objective

Site Maintenance Lead (Roads) manages comprehensive site maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and contract specifications. Supervise routine maintenance, incident response, and electrical maintenance to optimize infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency. B120

Key Responsibilities of Role
  • 1) Routine Maintenance: Execute day-to-day maintenance activities including pavement, drainage, earthwork, retaining walls, structures, and plantation as per approved maintenance program. Supervise and ensure adherence to contract specifications and approved methodologies. Coordinate with contractors to achieve monthly maintenance targets and optimize resource utilization. Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and assist in Monthly Progress Report preparation. Liaise with Independent Engineers for inspections and compliance, certifying bills of O&M contractors. Report daily progress, cleaning, repair activities, and issues to the Section Maintenance Manager. Optimize lane availability for smooth highway user experience Perform periodic rounds of patrolling to assess highway conditions, need for maintenance while also attending to any incidents.
  • 2) Incident Management: Provide immediation assistance (medical services, ambulance, etc.) to highway users in case of accidents Ensure removal of encroachment, road debris and obstructions, cordon incident/accident sites. Assist highway users in emergencies, coordinate with emergency services, and inform relevant authorities. Direct team for installing required road signage, document any damages to equipment/structures. Complete thorough shift documentation across all operational modes. Ensure incident sites are secured with proper safety measures and signage.
  • 3) Electrical Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment. Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC), manage earthing and lighting arrestor serviceability. Oversee DG, UPS operations, and maintenance, manage MP, APFC, Capacitor panels. Develop blueprints and manage inventory of electrical fixtures, conduct billing and service management. Inspect, test electrical components including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgears. Install computer cables, connect jacks, and test for proper operation, survey electrical systems and circuits.
