Job summary

Wonder Cement Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Operations professional to drive project execution and plant maintenance at our site in Rajasthan.

You will coordinate with Project Engineering, optimize material & equipment use, and ensure safe, timely completion while upholding budget and SOP compliance. You will lead maintenance teams, supervise raw material handling systems, plan preventive schedules, reduce downtime, and coordinate with internal departments to sustain reliable plant

Responsibilities

• Initiate mechanical work execution in collaboration with Project Engineering team and ensure efficient steady state operations at the project site.
• Identify objectives for the department, co-ordinate with other execution team to understand the mechanical related requirements, guide team on deployment.
• Drive usage of In-house material or Equipment on the project site to optimize costs and reduce time to availability.
• Collaborate regularly with internal stakeholders including technical departments (E&I, civil, Safety) and Commercial departments (Logistics, Materials, HR) to support ongoing execution related to mechanical works.
• Comply with all environment & safety related norms during project implementation phase.
• Adhere to project costing (against sanctioned budget) & implementation against timelines (against project schedule) and overall upkeep of the project/ plant.
• Convince and coordinate with Head-Execution to implement best of the technology in each project.
• Ensure instructions about work order are translated to work plan for the contactors and internal Projects execution team.
• Track pre-defined project parameters and KPIs to ensure maximum performance and RoI achievement from the project.
• Ensure execution on work on the ground by own team as well as contractor as per SOPs.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of raw material handling systems (crushers, stackers, reclaimers, conveyors, feeders).
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to the plant.
• Plan and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Minimize equipment downtime and improve system reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical failures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory norms.
• Optimize equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Manage spares inventory and vendor coordination.
• Lead and develop maintenance team and contractors.
