Job summary

Schneider Electric in Navi Mumbai seeks a Manager - R&D (Final Distribution Products) to lead design and development of MCB, RCCBs, RCBOs and related components. You will ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards, prepare drawings, BOMs, assembly and testing procedures, and drive product improvements based on customer feedback.

This role requires 5-8 years of experience and a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering; the team values innovation, quality and a strong CAD capability.

Responsibilities

• Design & development of Final distribution Products i.e. MCB, RCCBs, RCBOs. Design of plastic, sheet metal, machined & die-cast components.
• Have thorough knowledge of relevant IS and IEC standards.
• Develop design documents such as component drawings, BOM, instructions, assembly & testing procedures.
• Perform product approval testing and certification as per relevant product standards.
• Good understanding of products & it’s application to upgrade or customize Products to meet market requirements.
• Initiate product design improvements based on the feedback from internal / external customers.

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables

• Design & development of Final distribution Products i.e. MCB, RCCBs, RCBOs. Design of plastic, sheet metal, machined & die-cast components.

Functional Competencies

• Knowledge of 3D Modelling software, Cre-o, Solid-works, Conversant with SAP.
• Basic switchgear and Power system knowledge. Basic manufacturing process knowledge - Sheet metal, Moulding.
• Six sigma, DOE, VE, Statistical tools, GD & T Knowledge, Tolerance Stackup Analysis.
