Qualifications

• 10–12 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement.

Job Desciption

To manage and coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of construction materials, machinery, equipment and other project requirements by maintaining close coordination with vendors, suppliers, project teams and logistics partners. The role will have a strong focus on order tracking, vendor follow-up and expediting supplies to ensure uninterrupted project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely supply of machinery, equipment, construction materials and other project requirements as per approved purchase orders.
• Regularly follow up with vendors regarding production status, dispatch schedules, delivery commitments and pending supplies.
• Monitor all open Purchase Orders and maintain an updated PO-wise delivery/expediting tracker.
• Identify delays in supply and take immediate corrective action in coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Visit vendor/supplier locations whenever required to physically verify production, readiness of material/machinery and expedite pending deliveries.
• Coordinate with vendors for priority/critical materials required at project sites.
• Liaise with Project, Planning, Stores, Contracts, Engineering and other departments to understand material requirements and delivery priorities.
• Ensure vendors adhere to committed delivery schedules and elevate delays to the management wherever necessary.
• Coordinate with logistics/transport agencies for timely dispatch and delivery of materials to project sites.
• Track material movement from vendor premises to project site and ensure timely receipt.
• Follow up for pending documentation such as invoices, delivery challans, test certificates, warranty documents and other required documents.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
• Assist in vendor performance monitoring based on quality, delivery, responsiveness and adherence to commitments.
• Coordinate with the Purchase team for timely placement of orders based on approved requirements.
• Support negotiation with vendors regarding delivery schedules, transportation, lead time and other commercial terms.
• Maintain records of delayed supplies, commitments and corrective actions taken.
• Prepare regular MIS/reports on pending POs, material status, delayed deliveries and critical procurement items for management review.
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with project schedules and approved procurement plans.
• Travel to vendor locations and project sites as required for expediting and resolving supply-related issues.

Experience Required

• 1012 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the real estate, construction or infrastructure industry.
• Candidate should have substantial experience in vendor coordination, material expediting and timely delivery of construction materials/machinery.
• Experience of handling procurement for large-scale real estate/construction projects will be preferred.
