Job summary

Ajit Developers is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to independently manage procurement, vendor coordination, material planning, cost negotiation and purchase operations for real estate and construction projects.

You will source materials, evaluate vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, prepare purchase orders, coordinate with site teams and ensure timely material availability while maintaining records and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in Purchase, SCM, Business Admin, Civil Eng or related field.
• 2+ years of procurement experience required.
• Experience in Real Estate/Construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, negotiation, costing, inventory and purchase documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchase and procurement activities
• Source construction and project-related materials
• Identify and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchase records
• Coordinate with site teams for material requirements
• Ensure timely availability of materials at project sites
• Monitor material quality as per approved specifications
• Track material orders, deliveries and pending requirements
• Maintain vendor database and supplier relationships
• Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with accounts and site teams for purchase-related payments
• Verify invoices, purchase orders and delivery documents
• Maintain purchase MIS and procurement reports
• Monitor inventory and material consumption
• Handle material returns, replacements and quality-related issues
• Ensure proper documentation of all procurement activities
• Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers and contractors

Candidate Profile:

Graduate / Diploma / MBA in Purchase, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or a relevant field.

3+ years of relevant purchase/procurement experience preferred.

Experience in Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure / Building Materials will be strongly preferred.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, negotiation, procurement, costing, inventory and purchase documentation.
