Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, SCM, or Business Administration.
• 3–10 years of hands-on procurement experience in real estate or civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase civil and finishing materials including cement, steel, RMC, bricks, sand, tiles, electrical, plumbing, and safety gear.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and subcontractors; maintain an approved vendor database.
• Negotiate prices, discounts, credit periods, and payment terms; conduct market rate surveys.
• Prepare and issue PRs, POs, and WOs with accurate specs, taxes, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and Store teams to track deliveries and prevent delays.
• Ensure delivered materials match approved specs, brand standards, and building codes.
• Monitor stock levels, track fast-moving items, maintain in/out registers, and handle returns or replacements.
• Verify vendor invoices, delivery challans, and BOQ; process payments with the finance team; track outstanding balances.

• Material Procurement: Source and purchase civil and finishing materials including cement, steel, RMC , bricks, sand, tiles, electrical, plumbing, and safety gear.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining an approved vendor database.
• Rate Negotiation & Cost Control: Negotiate competitive prices, bulk discounts, credit periods, and payment terms while conducting regular market rate surveys.
• Purchase Orders & Documentation: Prepare and issue Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and Work Orders (WO) with accurate specifications, taxes, and delivery schedules.
• Site & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and Store teams to track scheduled deliveries and prevent project delays.
• Quality & Compliance Control: Ensure all delivered materials match approved technical specifications, brand standards, and building codes.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, track fast-moving consumables, manage material in/out registers, and handle returns or replacements for damaged goods.
• Accounts Coordination: Verify vendor invoices, delivery challans, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), processing payments and tracking vendor outstanding balances with the finance team.
• Management Reporting: Generate daily/weekly purchase reports, vendor comparison statements, and cost-saving analytics.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Experience: Typically 3 to 10 years of hands‑on procurement experience in real estate, civil construction projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and local supplier networks.
• Proficiency in reading BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and preparing RFQs (Request for Quotations).
• Working knowledge of ERP and MS Excel.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional commercial negotiation, analytical thinking, conflict resolution, and cross‑functional coordination.
