Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Production Manager to plan, coordinate and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

You will lead a production team, including unionized staff, enforce safety, and drive continuous improvement through lean practices and SAP-enabled planning. Kannada fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, production, or industrial engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in production management; total experience not less than 15 years.
• Proficiency in production planning and preferably SAP.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Kannada fluency required.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and at optimised cost.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Ensure that production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, including unionized workmen.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation

Profile & Requirements

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must know to speak fluent Kannada
• Experience in managing unionized workmen.
