Job summary

CERATIZIT INDIA is seeking a motivated candidate for a Production/Manufacturing role in Bengaluru. The incumbent will assist in planning and coordinating production activities across Solid Carbide Tools, Indexable Tools, and Special Purpose Cutting Tools.

The position suits freshers or candidates with up to 1 year in production/machining and involves working on CNC processes, reading drawings, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure targets and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical/production/manufacturing engineering or related discipline.
• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in production/manufacturing/CNC machining.
• Understanding of CNC machines and precision manufacturing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of solid carbide tools and cutting tools desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities for CNC tools and related products.
• Support shop floor operations to meet production targets and schedules.
• Assist in manufacturing processes including CNC tool grinding, machining, edge preparation, inspection, and packaging.
• Monitor machine performance, output, and downtime; report deviations.
• Coordinate with production, quality, design, maintenance and planning for smooth workflow and timely orders.
• Support new product trials, process validation, and development projects.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials, semi-finished products, tools, and finished goods.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities for Solid Carbide Tools, Indexable Tools, and Special Purpose Cutting Tools.
• Support shop floor operations to ensure production targets, quality requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Assist in manufacturing processes including CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, Edge Preparation, Inspection, and Packaging.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, and downtime, and report deviations to supervisors.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Maintenance, and Planning departments for smooth workflow and timely execution of orders.
• Assist in monitoring quality parameters and support corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Support new product trials, process validation activities, and product development projects.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials, semi-finished products, tools, and finished goods during production activities.

Profile & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in Production, Manufacturing, CNC Machining, or Engineering Industry.
• Understanding of CNC machines, cutting tools, and precision manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Solid Carbide Tools, End Mills, Drills, Reamers, and other cutting tools is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of production planning, quality control, and shop floor practices.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
