Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd is seeking a seasoned professional to provide technical support to the Sales Team for toolings and machining solutions in India. You will guide tooling-up projects, perform NC programming inputs, and drive cost-saving proposals with customers.

The role requires hands-on CNC experience, strong carbide tooling knowledge, and readiness to travel for customer visits and trials while coordinating cross-functional teams across design, project, and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/ Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in cutting tool applications, machining processes, CNC manufacturing, or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting technology, machining parameters, and tool geometry.
• Hands-on experience with CNC Turning Centres, Machining Centres, Multi-Axis Machines, and Tool Presetting Systems.
• Good understanding of carbide tooling, indexable tooling systems, solid carbide tools, inserts, and workpiece materials.
• Experience troubleshooting machining issues such as surface finish problems, tool wear, chatter, burrs, and dimensional inaccuracies.
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits, tool trials, and technical support activities; MS Office proficiency; CAD/CAM familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Sales Team for business conversion, market penetration, and customer retention.
• Offer hands-on manufacturing process expertise, conduct technical and DAP discussions with customers, and coordinate tooling-up projects.
• Demonstrate experience with CNC machines, NC programming, and full project execution to meet timelines.
• Present cost-saving and productivity improvements to customers through tooling solutions, seminars, and technical presentations.
• Lead the sales team in identifying process improvements at customer sites and propose tooling to boost CPC and productivity.
• Identify conversion opportunities with key customers and conduct tooling trials to achieve cost savings.
• Provide knowledge in work-holding devices and tool troubleshooting.
• Serve as nodal coordinator in complaint management, guiding strategy for real-time and offline troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with design, project, and production teams to finalize tooling solutions and propose new products.
• Develop technical competence within the sales team through training programs, webinars, and seminars.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support to the Sales Team for business conversion, market penetration, and customer retention.
• Provide hands‑on expertise in manufacturing processes, conduct technical and DAP discussions with customers, and coordinate tooling‑up projects.
• Demonstrate hands‑on experience in CNC machines, NC programming, and complete project execution as per committed timelines.
• Demonstrate value propositions by presenting cost‑saving and productivity improvement proposals to customers through the best tooling solutions over competition, seminars, and technical presentations.
• Lead the sales team in identifying process improvement opportunities at customer premises and provide the right tooling proposals to establish improved CPC and productivity.
• Identify conversion opportunities with key customers and conduct extensive tooling trials to achieve better cost savings, supporting the sales team in generating new business.
• Provide sound technical knowledge in work‑holding devices and cutting tool troubleshooting.
• Act as the nodal coordinator in the complaint management system and assist the sales team with the right strategy for both real‑time and offline troubleshooting cases.
• Coordinate with stakeholders from design, project, and production teams to finalize tooling solutions and propose new products.
• Build technical competence within the sales team through training programs, webinars, and seminars conducted both at customer premises and through online platforms.

PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in cutting tool applications, machining processes, CNC manufacturing, or production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of metal cutting technology, machining parameters, and tool geometry. Hands‑on experience with CNC Turning Centres, Machining Centres, Multi‑Axis Machines, and Tool Presetting Systems.
• Good understanding of carbide tooling, indexable tooling systems, solid carbide tools, inserts, and workpiece materials.

• Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits, tool trials, and technical support activities. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD/CAM software are an added advantage.
