Job summary

CERATIZIT India Pvt. Ltd in India seeks an entry-level professional to assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production of solid carbide tools, indexable tools, and special purpose tools. You will support CNC machining, tool grinding, inspection, and packaging while coordinating with multiple departments.

The role emphasizes willingness to work on the shop floor, learn about cutting tools, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical/production/manufacturing engineering.
• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in production/manufacturing/CNC machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities.
• Support shop floor operations to meet targets, quality, and delivery.
• Assist CNC grinding, milling, edge preparation, inspection, and packaging.
• Monitor machine performance, output, and downtime and report deviations.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Maintenance, and Planning.
• Support new product trials, process validation activities, and development projects.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials, semi-finished products, tools, and finished goods.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities for Solid Carbide Tools, Indexable Tools, and Special Purpose Cutting Tools.
• Support shop floor operations to ensure production targets, quality requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Assist in manufacturing processes including CNC Tool Grinding, CNC Machining, Edge Preparation, Inspection, and Packaging.
• Monitor machine performance, production output, and downtime, and report deviations to supervisors.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Maintenance, and Planning departments for smooth workflow and timely execution of orders.
• Assist in monitoring quality parameters and support corrective actions for process-related issues.
• Support new product trials, process validation activities, and product development projects.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials, semi-finished products, tools, and finished goods during production activities.

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in Production, Manufacturing, CNC Machining, or Engineering Industry.
• Understanding of CNC machines, cutting tools, and precision manufacturing processes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Solid Carbide Tools, End Mills, Drills, Reamers, and other cutting tools is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Basic knowledge of production planning, quality control, and shop floor practices.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
